Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened unto you:
But rejoice, inasmuch as ye are partakers of Christ's sufferings; that, when his glory shall be revealed, ye may be glad also with exceeding joy.

Quick points-
-The Christian walk/life is not white picket fences, it's a fiery trial- narrow road.
-If you choose the Christian life, you will be persecuted.
-I shouldn't think it to be odd, when I trust God and, in turn, receive persecution.
-If my life looks like the world, it's not the Chritian walk/life of the Bible.
-I should test my life against God's word, to see if I am a Christian.
