Do I limit God?

I came across these verses this week during my reading. The one thing that impacted me the most was in verse 41 where it says that Israel "limited the Holy One of Israel". The context of this chapter is the Exodus of Israel and how they constantly forgot what God had done for them. I know so many times I have been guilty of grumbling or forgetting the power of God in my life. I certainly don't want to "limit" God in what he can do in me, and through me. Nor do I want my actions to tell Him that I believe His power has limits.

Lord help us to believe that you are as powerful as you say you are, and that you are capable of keeping every promise that you have made! Now to the text:

"How oft did they provoke him in the wilderness, and grieve him in the desert! Yea, they turned back and tempted God, and limited the Holy One of Israel." Psalm 78:40,41

No Other Saviour

Wow! It's been a really busy month since my last post- hope all is well with everyone.

I don't understand all there is to know about the trinity of our God. I do believe that God the father, Jesus the son, and the holy spirit are one- but my mind can't exactly wrap around how.

That being said...I love reading in the old testament how God is a jealous God, and we are to have no other Gods before Him. And then in the new testament Jesus tells us that no one can come to the Father except by Him. So- I know that Jesus is God, and God is Jesus..and He is the only God, the only way for salvation.

Old Testament:

Isaiah 43:11 "I, even I, am the Lord; and beside me there is no saviour."

Isaiah 45:21 "....and there is no God else beside me; a just God and a saviour; there is none beside me."

Hosea 13:4 "Yet I am the LORD thy God from the land of Egypt, and thou shalt know no god but me: for there is no saviour beside me."

New Testament:

John 4:42 "And said unto the woman, Now we believe, not because of thy saying: for we have heard him ourselves, and know that this is indeed the Christ, the Saviour of the world."

2 Timothy 1:10 "But is now made manifest by the appearing of our Saviour Jesus Christ, who hath abolished death, and hath brought life and immortality to light through the gospel:"

Acts 4:10-12 "Be it known unto you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom ye crucified, whom God raised from the dead, even by him doth this man stand here before you whole. This is the stone which was set at nought of you builders, which is become the head of the corner. Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved."
